Ruth Immobilien GmbH is committed to making its website www.ruth-immobilien.com accessible in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 conformance level AA.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. The assessment is based on an internal self-evaluation, most recently carried out in June 2026.
Non-accessible content
a) Non-compliance with the accessibility requirements
Images and icons: The page templates generally output alternative texts, and purely decorative graphics are correctly marked. For editorially maintained content (e.g. property and project images), however, meaningful alt texts are not consistently provided.
Keyboard navigation: For interactive elements such as image sliders, the interactive map, filters and overlay dialogs, keyboard operation is partially restricted.
Visible keyboard focus: In some places the keyboard focus is not sufficiently visible, as equivalent focus styles (:focus-visible) are missing.
Structure & ARIA: Dynamically loaded content (search results, filtered property lists, updates to the favourites list) is not automatically announced to screen readers, as the corresponding aria-live regions are missing. In isolated cases, structuring headings and a skip link to the main content are missing.
Forms: In forms (contact/enquiry, newsletter, search agent), fields are mostly labelled via aria-label or placeholder text; visible labels associated with the field are not consistently present.
Contrast & readability: Some text areas use a font size below 16 px. Some text/background combinations may not achieve the required contrast ratio.
b) Disproportionate burden
Videos: Our own video components have controls. Embedded external videos (YouTube, Vimeo) do not necessarily have subtitles or audio descriptions (cf. WCAG 1.2.5). The subsequent, complete preparation of all existing videos is currently regarded as a disproportionate burden.
c) Content not within the scope of the applicable legislation
PDF property brochures: Automatically generated property brochures (PDF) are, for technical reasons, not consistently accessible (e.g. missing structure tags and reading order for screen readers). The same information is, however, available in accessible form on the respective property detail pages of our website, so that the PDF merely represents an additional download.
External third-party content that is outside the control of Ruth Immobilien GmbH is exempt from the directive.
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of this content.
Third-party content and functions
Some functions and content integrated on www.ruth-immobilien.com originate from third-party providers and cannot be offered in fully accessible form. These include in particular:
- Mapbox – interactive maps for property and project search
- YouTube / Vimeo – embedded videos
These external components are outside our direct control. Their accessibility can therefore not be guaranteed.
